Corporate Leaders Thrive During A Recession

I began working on what I call ‘Mindful Collaboration’ with a team of managers in one division of a Fortune 100 communications company 8 years ago. The work clearly increased their effectiveness as learners and leaders, and thus gradually expanded despite 2 years of recession. There are so many things to love about this work: I have grown with this living organization, enjoying many deep personal relationships, and particularly the opportunity to watch individuals step into leadership and fly.

As this was their only division to meet revenue goals in 2 years of market downturn, senior management took note. Top corporate leadership now recognizes that results are driven by a community of trust and respect - where each individual is committed to learning, innovation and leading.

And we go on to create collaborative culture in other divisions.
